STAR Standing Together Against Rape is a program of the ONE PLACE Family Justice Center. STAR offers free and confidential crisis services 24 hours a day.

Within 72 Hours of a Sexual Assault

The nurse will explain the examination process to you and will always ask for your voluntary consent before acting. You will be given a medical exam to assess your physical condition and create discharge planning for follow up care. Medications to prevent the transmission of certain sexually transmitted diseases will be provided.

OPFJC can arrange safe transportation to and from your examination.

There is never a charge for services.

CRISIS MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING & VICTIMS ADVOCACY

A licensed mental health professional will provide crisis counseling, advocacy, and accompaniment during your examination and throughout the next 90 days of your recovery. They will connect you with an array of supports and services you may need. As you gain traction in your life, your counselor will transition you to longer term counseling that reflects your individualized needs, circumstances, and preferences.
